After falling out with his manager Paulo Fonseca, Edin Džeko is looking to leave AS Roma before the window closes on Monday.

Manchester City have been pushed forward as one of the options for the 35-year-old.

On January 28th, reports coming out of Italy explained the striker’s agent has ‘set to work’ to try and get the player back to the Etihad. Alessandro Lucci has offered his client to a few clubs, including City.

FcInterNews explain the relationship between the Bosnian and the Roma coach is ‘irrecoverable’.

The frontman’s representative is aware potential suitors won’t be in favour of spending ‘one euro’ to sign the player, which is why he is ‘trying to propose exchange ideas’.

Lucci tried to work out a swap deal involving Džeko and Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus, with the Brazilian moving in the opposite direction to Roma.

According to the report, Pep Guardiola’s side ‘rejected’ the idea of taking their former player back while sacrificing Jesus.

Džeko’s agent is now pushing the attacker to Inter Milan and as a part of the operation, Alexis Sánchez can move to Roma.
