Manchester City midfielder Seko Fofana is on the verge of completing a permanent move to Udinese, after reports that he may be leaving the English club… but with an assumption from some it would be onĀ loan.
The 21-year-old spent the last season on loan at French Ligue 1 club Bastia, and has been tipped to leave Manchester City with just one year left on his existing deal at the Etihad.
According to French newspaper L’Equipe, Bastia are set to receiveĀ 15% of the overall transfer fee as compensation, which amounts toĀ ā¬700,000.Ā Udinese have agreed to pay a fee ofĀ ā¬3.5m plus bonuses worthĀ ā¬2m for Fofana.
Fofana was a key player for Bastia, last season, as he made 32 league appearances for the Ligue 1 side, and it seems his impressive performances haven’t gone unnoticed.
There’s been no mention of any buyback clause for Manchester City, so it looks like the 21 year old is making a clean break from the club.
