On Thursday, Corriere dello Sport shared their confidence West Ham’s Niclas Füllkrug will join AC Milan in January.

The two clubs were discussing the details of the move, with the Rossoneri offering a loan and an option to buy.

Even if the transfer may help Milan fix their striker problem, manager Max Allegri is apparently unconvinced.

Agent Massimo Brambati has spoken to Tuttomercatoweb about the West Ham player. He revealed details of a dinner conversation with Allegri, who perhaps wanted a different profile in attack.

Brambati said: “I had dinner with Allegri, and he didn’t seem very convinced, not so much because of the player’s value but because of his physical problems.”

Detailing Allegri’s thoughts about the German, he said: “Bringing in a player who might not always be available is a problem. This player’s history says so.”

The agent added the Italian would have rather signed Torino’s Duvan Zapata.

“I heard that Torino’s Zapata was very welcome, and his contract expires in June 2026.”

Allegri’s doubts are understandable. The 32-year-old has had multiple fitness issues since he joined West Ham from Borussia Dortmund in 2024.

Milan already have Santiago Gimenez out of action due to an ankle problem and that is why they need immediate solutions.

Aside from that, Allegri may not be thrilled Brambati is publicising words shared at a private dinner.
