Last week, we covered an interview Elia Caprile gave to the Italian media about his decision to join Leeds United and subsequently head to Pro Patria on loan this season.

This was a joint decision between the goalkeeper and the Elland Road side, which has worked out for the young shot stopper, who has been a star for the Serie C side.

However, a return to Leeds is going to take place in the summer, which will then either lead to another loan or him staying with Jesse Marsch in some shape or form.

This is something Caprile and his agent will have to decide going forward, and Graziano Battistini, the player’s representative, explained as much in a chat with Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

The reason for the interview is the fact the Leeds goalkeeper made it clear in the interview that he had a dream of playing for Napoli down the line, since they are the team he supports.

About that, Battistini said, relayed by TuttoNapoli: “The father is a true Neapolitan. Elia is part of an important team like Leeds. We will discuss with the club at the end of the season. We have not spoken with [Napoli director of football] Giuntoli. Playing for Napoli is definitely the boy’s dream, but it’s useless to make a fuss about it.

“Elia is with Leeds, who are a great club. They aren’t safe. In case of relegation, all the scenarios change. He is doing well, he’s a goalkeeper for the future. The director of Pro Patria, Turotti, was very good at grabbing him.”

We’ll now have to see if Leeds manage to avoid the drop in the next few games of the season, with their first obstacle an away game against Arsenal before welcoming Chelsea at Elland Road on May 11th.
