On December 15th, Calciomercato explained that Tottenham Hotspur have ‘come forward with conviction’ for Radu Drăgușin.
ProSport state the north London club have a ‘clear interest’ to sign the Genoa star. He made his 16th league appearance of the season against his former club, Juventus, last Friday.
Speaking to the Romania outlet, Drăgușin’s agent Florin Manea has hailed him for not receiving a yellow card this season. The representative then claimed he’s held talks with Tottenham over a potential deal for the 21-year-old.
“With Tottenham there was only a discussion about Radu. There is interest from them, we will see what will happen in the next period,” he told ProSport.
Recent claims have stated Barcelona are interested in the defender but the agent has told Digisport that he hasn’t been approached by the La Liga side. Manea has also opened the door for Tottenham or another club to sign his client next month.
“That is why I say that an important step will follow for Drăgușin. And there’s one more thing, he’s not desperate to transfer [to another club]. He just wants to play well. He can do it after Euro 2024, but I still think he will leave in the winter,” Manea explained.
This would please interested parties, including Ange Postecoglou’s side, in their ongoing pursuit of the Romania international.
According to Il Secolo XIX, Spurs’ interest is ‘increasingly strong’ and they would be ‘ready to offer’ over €30m to secure Drăgușin’s services in January.
With the Romanian’s agent opening the exit door, Tottenham can carry out a deal in the winter market if an agreement can be found with Genoa.
