Napoli’s Hirving Lozano would favour a move to Liverpool or Manchester United over other mid-table clubs in the summer window, according to agent and intermediary Alessandro Monfrecola.
Appearing as a guest on Radio Punto Nuovo, relayed by Mondo Napoli, Monfrecola says Liverpool and Manchester United are the 27-year-old’s dream destinations.
The Mexico international’s former intermediary revealed this when explaining the interest he has received from other Premier League sides.
“West Ham and Aston Villa have shown interest in Lozano, but it seems to be a timid interest. Lozano has always dreamed of clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United, so I don’t think he can be very attracted to them [the other two],” he said.
Last December, claims from Italy had stated Jürgen Klopp’s side were keen on signing the player in the winter 2023 market but no deal took shape.
There’s been no recent claims on either Liverpool or Erik ten Hag’s side wanting to sign him this summer, meaning the Mexican’s dream of joining one of the two clubs is unlikely to be fulfilled anytime soon.
On recent rumours of interest from Saudi Arabia, Monfrecola explained: “I was surprised by Saudi Arabia’s interest in Lozano. Even in Mexico they are, everyone is convinced that the boy would have left Napoli only for the Premier League, now they are perplexed by the news.”
Lozano was part of Napoli’s title winning squad last season, where he managed four goals and four assists. He has a year left on his deal.
