Manchester City and Chelsea are keeping an eye on Colombia winger Emerson Rodríguez, according to his agent.

The 21-year-old primarily operates as a winger, but has also been used as a midfielder for his current club, Millonarios Fútbol Club.

He’s managed three goals and an assist in 22 matches across all competitions in this calendar year. Emerson Rodríguez is represented by MYM Sports Agency and his agent, Diego Carannante, gave an interview to Fiorentina.it.

The representative also manages Genk fullback Daniel Muñoz, who was on the agenda of the Serie A side in the summer. He admitted Muñoz was offered the Italian club and Everton, but neither of them were successful in completing a deal for the defender.

Carannante agent revealed about City and the Blues monitoring Emerson Rodríguez, when asked if he talked about any of his clients with Fiorentina, apart from Muñoz.

“In addition to Muñoz, if we talk about right-hand side, I would propose to Fiorentina the profile of Andres Roman of the Millonarios, also called up by the Colombian national team and 6 months ago one step away from Boca Juniors,” Carannante told Fiorentina.it.

“As a winger I would recommend Emerson Rodriguez Rivaldo, a Colombian born in 2001, also owned by the Millonarios of Bogotà and already viewed by City and Chelsea.”

That’s about the only information Carannante mentions about City and Chelsea. Emerson Rodríguez is currently sidelined with an injury and Marca say he should be back on the pitch in a month’s time.
