Leicester City’s Nampalys Mendy ‘could well leave England’ in the ‘coming hours’, as per reports.

The midfielder, who has a contract with the Foxes until 2023, is attracting interest from Galatasaray.

The transfer window in Turkey will close later today and the Süper Lig side have a few more hours left to seal the deal.

Foot Mercato have a report on the 29-year-old explaining that Faith Terim’s side want to sign the former Nice man on a season-long loan deal.

The outlet has managed to gather comments from the Leicester player’s representative, Yacin Ayad, who says the Premier League side and Galatasaray have found an agreement for his client’s temporary move.

However, Mendy needs to rush if the transfer to Turkey can go through.

“The two clubs are OK and Nampalys also for a loan. But the player must arrive in Dakar in the next few hours. It is therefore a race against time which promises to make him arrive in Istanbul before 23:59 tomorrow evening and the end of the Turkish transfer window,” the agent said.

In less than 24 hours, we’ll find out whether or not Mendy will be successful in his efforts to seal a loan move to Galatasaray. If not, he will continue at the King Power Stadium, at least until the end of this calendar year.
