The agent of Leeds United defender Giuseppe Bellusci has told the Italian media his client is now happy to be at Empoli. The 27-year-old has joined the Serie A side on loan for the season with a right of redemption.
Speaking to TMW, Michelangelo Minieri revealed Bellusci is feeling good again about his football after what he experienced at Leeds United. Minieri said despite the problems he had at Leeds United he’s improved as a result, and is now happy to be playing for a club like Empoli.
“It ‘a good time for him. He’s returned to Italy after his experience in a different reality as the one in England. Even if he had difficulties, that period has improved him. Now he is happy to be at Empoli, in a nice environment. the goal is to continue like this, for the team and for himself,” said the player’s agent.
Bellusci made his home debut for Empoli on Monday night, and scored his side’s opener in their 2-1 win against Crotone. The Italian has in the past few days gone on record to say he struggled in his time at Leeds United, and believes he was singled out when things went wrong.
