Liverpool and Marseille are in the picture to sign Feyenoord’s Anis Hadj Moussa.

That’s according to Africa Foot, who report the Reds are ‘seriously positioning themselves’ to secure the 23-year-old’s services.

Liverpool have been named as an interested party for close to a year. Last December, La Gazette du Fennec reported Arne Slot was keen.

Back in May, the Algeria international said the Premier League winners are one of his dream clubs. Two months later, O Jogo covered Liverpool, Benfica, Marseille, Sevilla and Nottingham Forest interest.

Five days ago, Fennec Football stated the Merseyside club are keen on signing him. They also reported Liverpool see Anis Hadj Moussa as an ideal successor to Mohamed Salah at Anfield.

With recent claims of Marseille and Liverpool interest, Maghreb Foot contacted the Feyenoord player’s agent, Mohamed Dahman, for an update.

They say the representative, who is a former Algeria international, is very enthusiastic about these links.

With regards to Marseille’s reported interest in Anis Hadj Moussa, he said: “Do not manipulate my emotions, tell the Olympique Marseille management that throughout my professional career I have waited for a call from this team.”

Maghreb Foot then stated the agent also welcomes an offer from Liverpool, after recent claims talked about his client possibly replacing Salah. However, they haven’t directly relayed Dahman’s comments.
