Tottenham Hotspur forward Manor Solomon’s agent Ronen Katzav has confirmed his client wants to leave the Premier League side permanently, after spending the last two years out on loan.
The Israel international joined Tottenham in July 2023 and a serious injury restricted his game time in his debut season.
Spurs sent him on loan to Leeds United in 2024 before sanctioning temporary moves to Villarreal and Fiorentina last season.
The Serie A side didn’t exercise their €10m purchase clause, and the player has returned to the north London club.
On May 31st, the 27-year-old’s representative said he wants his client to stay at Tottenham.
De Zerbi appreciates Tottenham man
Manor Solomon had previously played under Roberto De Zerbi at Shakhtar Donetsk and recently said the manager appreciates him.
De Zerbi included him for the pre-season tour of New Zealand and Australia, after starting in a friendly win over MK Dons. The attacker also started in the win over Auckland FC.
Ronen Katzav spoke to Israel’s Sport 5 and sais appearances in friendlies hardly mean anything.
“He needs to be given a training camp as a Tottenham player right now. The fact that he’s starting in friendlies doesn’t mean anything, a coach can start with a second or third, string lineup and then mix things up; it doesn’t mean a thing,” he said.
Spurs attacker wants summer exit
Manor Solomon has a contract until 2028 but accepts he can’t have a prominent role at Tottenham Hotspur.
Therefore, Ronen Katzav says his client wants to leave Spurs permanently this summer.
“Next season? I don’t like to speculate. We have over a month left in the transfer window. What I will say is that the goal will be a permanent transfer, not a loan. Statistically speaking, the last week of the window is the busiest,” Katzav explained.
“He wants to be dominant and make an impact, and that probably won’t happen at Tottenham. It doesn’t seem like the right place for him, and they’ve given up on him too easily along the way. The real goal is to find a place where he can play regularly. Manor is a very high-quality player, both mentally and professionally.”
On Solomon’s next destination, he added: “I won’t mention any specific team by name, that wouldn’t be appropriate. The goal is to remain in one of the top five leagues, without a doubt.”
