Despite not ending up at the club he was originally meant to go to, Jorginho has settled in nicely at Chelsea, helped by the fact he still has the same manager in Maurizio Sarri.
Despite an initial difficult first half against Huddersfield, the Italy international is already one of the first names on his manager’s team sheet, happy to sit in front of the defence and get things going from the back.
Speaking to Radio CRC, relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb, his agent, Joao Santos, explained things were going very well for his client at Stamford Bridge off the pitch too.
He said: “He’s started his adventure with Chelsea really well. He’s already settled, already speaks English well. He’s not had any issues with the environment. When a player is good, he can play in any league.
“Stereotypes count for very little. If someone has quality, he can perform anywhere. He’s very happy with the game he had against Arsenal”.
The agent also revealed that around 50 Neapolitans were waiting for him after the game, showing that despite him leaving their beloved club, they still hold the midfielder close to their heart for all the joy he brought them during his time in Naples.
During his three and a half year with the Serie A side prior to his move to Chelsea, Jorginho made 160 appearances for Napoli, scoring six goals and picking up 14 assists.
