According to a claim in the Turkish media, Trabzonspor are still looking to sign Southampton forward Paul Onuachu this summer.
The Nigerian international has been linked with a return to the Super Lig side following his loan spell there last season.
Takvim today report Trabzonspor may still have a chance of re-signing Onuachu, who doesn’t look to be in Southampton’s plans for this campaign.
Yesterday the 30-year-old again wasn’t part of the Saints’ match-day squad against Nottingham Forest after also being left out of the opening game against Newcastle United last week.
The Turkish media outlet say Onuachu’s agent has started to put pressure on Southampton, and he’s reportedly told the Premier League side his client’s future needs to be resolved. It’s hoped the English side will break and finally accept Trabzonspor’s offer.
As previously reported in the Turkish press Trabzonspor’s latest offer is said to be €7m, plus €2m add ons. The Super Lig club also still have time on their side in their pursuit of Onuachu as the Turkish transfer window only closes in mid September.
