Newcastle United goalkeeper Loris Karius has a contract expiring in the summer and his future seems to be away from St James’ Park.
Recent claims in England have stated the Magpies aren’t planning to offer him a new deal, and this is relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb, who then provide their own take on this case.
The German has made two appearances for Newcastle since joining them on a free transfer in 2022. Taking this into account, it’s no surprise that Eddie Howe’s side aren’t extending his contract.
TMW explain that the 30-year-old could consider making a switch to Italy in the summer.
It’s claimed former Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio, who is an agent now, ‘will take care’ of the stopper’s future. Circum, an agency led by the former Juve star and Alessandro Tocci, ‘have the mandate’ to possibly bring the stopper to Serie A.
Last December, Karius’ partner Diletta Leotta stated that she’s hopeful the Newcastle goalkeeper can make a switch to Italy.
TWM now state the German ‘wouldn’t mind’ moving to Serie A, but make no mention of any potential clubs that could consider signing him in the next window.
