Lucas Perez’s time at Deportivo La Coruna has turned into such a nightmare that it’s increasingly certain he’ll be at Arsenal again in the summer.

After his agent spending last summer emotionally blackmailing Arsenal over a return on loan to Depor, it will be frustrating for Arsene Wenger that, having agreed to a cut-price Depor loan, Lucas Perez has failed to have any real impact at all.

The club’s fans have turned against him and Mundo Deportivo report the situation has got so bad the supporters have even mocked the player.

In the last match he came off as a substitute and the crowd chanted ‘Lucas, Selección’, sarcastically suggesting a national team call-up, given that’s one of the reasons he said he wanted to leave Arsenal and return to Depor.

Mundo Deportivo quote the player’s agent Fernandez Lovelle as saying: “Never regret, but evidently maybe it was not a good step, although there were many people who bet on him and who continue to trust.

“It is true that seeing how the decision has gone, maybe it was not the right one.”

Deportivo won’t make an attempt to sign Lucas Perez permanently, so Arsenal will be welcoming back a 29 year old forward who hasn’t scored since November.
