Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Pascal Groß deserves to be part of Germany’s squad at the World Cup this month.

That’s according to his agent Tolga Dirican, who believes the midfielder’s performances are worthy of a place in Hansi Flick’s squad.

Groß has been in fine form for Brighton this season, with five goals and two assists in 13 games in the Premier League so far.

He started the season on fire with two goals in the 2-1 win over Manchester United and has since added to that tally with an assist against West Ham, a winner against Leeds and another assist in the 5-2 win over Leicester.

Groß then went five goals without any contributions but has been back in goalscoring form over the last two weeks, scoring in the wins over Chelsea and Wolves.

That’s good timing given Germany are set to name their squad for the tournament in Qatar next week and the Brighton man’s agent believes he should be part of the squad and earn his first call up to the national side in the process.

“Pascal has been impressing in England for years with outstanding performances in the best league in the world,” he told Transfermarkt.de.

“In the current season, too, he is consistently delivering performances at a very high level. I would like to see his performances rewarded in Germany as well.

“In my opinion, Pascal deserves to go to the World Cup in Qatar with the German national team with his performances, skills and humility.”
