Bought by Tottenham in the summer and loaned straight back to Udinese, Destiny Udogie has made it clear he isn’t distracted by the upcoming move to the Premier League.
That has shown in his performances for the Serie A side, as the young left-back has demonstrated nothing but professionalism and hard work over the campaign, remaining an important member of the Italian club.
While he continues to gain experience in Udine, Tottenham are monitoring everything he does, and while he isn’t thinking about the future too much, he still keeps tabs on how the club are performing.
He might not have been overly impressed by their latest performance in the EFL Cup against Nottingham Forest, but he certainly knows he’ll be joining a good club that has ambitions to improve going forward.
Speaking to Si Gonfia la Rete, Stefano Antonelli said, relayed by Calcio Napoli 24: “I spoke to Udogie of Tottenham, but he keeps telling me that he is focused on Udinese. Of course, he keeps track of Tottenham, who, by the way, are such an organised club that they have a person who takes care of Destiny.
“It’s inevitable that Udogie will end up with the Italian national team, but Roberto Mancini will decide how and when.”
To date, the Tottenham-owned player has two goals and an assist in 12 appearances in all competitions for Udinese.
