French reports today have been claiming that Crystal Palace reopened talks to sign Hugo Eikitike from Paris Saint Germain.
It was said that with contacts resumed, the Ligue 1 side were waiting for the Eagles to place a bid for a purchase, as a loan would not be accepted.
Now journalist Manu Lonjon brings some interesting information on Twitter, claiming Crystal Palace actually had a deal with the player.
It’s said that the London side, who were negotiating with Ekitike’s entourage, found an agreement for a loan move.
The problem is that was all done behind PSG’s back, and they don’t seem to be happy with that.
The French club are said to be ‘furious’ against Ekitike for turning down a move to Germany, and in case he ends up staying, he will not play for them this season.
There’s little time to turn that situation around, but with PSG seeming so against the loan, maybe a purchase offer from Crystal Palace could change the scenario.
