The agent of Juan Cuadrado is set for more talks with Chelsea with regards to his client’s future at the Premier League side. The Colombia international has been linked with a move to Juventus after spending last season on loan with the Serie A champions.
TMW have reported in the last hour that Alessandro Lucci is set fly to London to hold a meeting with the Chelsea leaders to discuss whether Cuadrado will remain with the club or head back to Juventus. It’s been claimed Cuadrado would welcome a move back to Italy before the transfer deadline after an impressive season with the Turin club.
However, the final decision is likely to come down to Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, and whether he would sanction the move. Conte knows the player from his time as the Juventus coach, and knows the Colombian could bring something to his Chelsea squad.
Cuadrado was signed by Jose Mourinho as part of the deal which took Mohamad Salah to Fiorentina just over 18 months ago. However, the South American failed to make an impact in the six months he played under Mourinho, and was rarely used by the Chelsea coach.
There have been claims in Italy for around a week now that Cuadrado’s agent is heading to London, perhaps he’s walking.
