Portuguese newspaper Record brings today some updates on the situation of Fulham midfielder Jean Michael Seri.

The outlet managed to speak to the player’s agent, who confirmed it’s unlikely he’ll continue at the Craven Cottage side for much longer.

Franklin Mala first said that the 29-year-old “shouldn’t stay at Fulham”, and was then asked about Benfica’s chances of signing him.

“Nobody from Benfica spoke directly to me, but I think there was something between Benfica and the player”, Franklin Mala told Record.

Signed by Nice on a €30m deal back in 2018, Seri’s adaptation to Fulham was rough enough for the Cottagers to loan him out to Galatasaray in the last season. Since returning to London in the summer, he only made two appearances, both in the EFL Cup.

Now according to Record, his agent confirms that the Turkish side are one of those who are interested in his transfer again, alongside Benfica.

The newspaper doesn’t say how much would Seri cost, although his situation makes it clear that Fulham are not in a place to demand a lot for his move.
