Aston Villa’s Jhon Durán is not ruling out a transfer in the summer window, according to Canal RCN.
The 20-year-old has struggled for regular game time since he joined the Villans in January 2023, and has clocked in over 1,100 minutes from 37 games this season, scoring eight goals in the process.
On Wednesday, the Aston Villa striker’s agent, Jonthan Herrera, revealed that they are looking at options, and he also confirmed Chelsea interest.
A move to the west London club can help him take the next step in his career, but it’s not a given that he’ll join them in the next window. As of now, the Colombia international’s ‘future remains uncertain’.
Durán’s deal lasts until 2028 and a decision on his future will be made after considering several factors, including the interested parties and Aston Villa’s stance on a potential sale in the next window.
Both the frontman and his agent are ‘considering all available options’, to make sure that if there’s a transfer, it can benefit him.
Canal RCN state the ‘next few weeks will be crucial to define’ the South American’s future, and it looks like Aston Villa have got an agent they need to keep an eye on here.
