The agent of Napoli forward Manolo Gabbiadini has told the Italian media his client will either end up in the Premier League or Bundesliga. The Italy international looks set to leave Napoli in this window, and has today been linked with Stoke City and Leicester City.
Gabbiadini’s agent believes this would the ideal move because he thinks the striker has the characteristics to play in England and Germany.
“He will go to one of the two championships. He has strength, power, technique which can stand very well in both contexts,” said Pagliari.
Earlier today we covered reports from Italy of Stoke City and Leicester City’s interest in Gabbiadini. It suggested Claudio Ranieri and Mark Hughes were the two who would battle it out for the attacker, but they must offer Napoli the asking price.
The Serie A side paid Sampdoria €15m for Gabbiadini and the Napoli leaders want at least €20m from Stoke City or Leicester City.
Leicester interest doesn’t make a great deal of sense, given the attacking additions recently, so Stoke would look the likelier option.
