Despite the Valencia media refusing to acknowledge there is any offer from Arsenal for Shkodran Mustafi, both the English and the German press remain adamant the interest is real and the club are pushing to get a deal done.
The German defender seems like the ideal solution to help the Gunners with their defensive issues, with both Per Mertesacker and Gabriel injured for a lengthy spell, and, according to Spox in Germany, the deal is one step closer to being agreed.
The German website published an article on Thursday claiming they had spoken to one of Mustafi’s representative, who told them the player had agreed terms with the Premier League club.
Ali Bulut is reported to have said: “Shkodran and Arsenal have agreed. Now all is needed is for the teams to agree on a transfer fee.”
Of course, the player accepting whatever Arsène Wenger and co. have offered him is positive news for Arsenal fans, but the biggest challenge remains, as Valencia would probably prefer to sell Abdennour if they had the choice.
We will, of course, keep you updated if there are any other developments.
