Monday’s edition of De Telegraaf has an article on Erik ten Hag’s new agent connections, and how that may help him get a move to Manchester United next summer.

With Ralf Rangnick only expected to remain in charge until the end of the current season, the search is on for his replacement, and that’s a search the German will play a large part in.

Ten Hag has been repeatedly linked with a move to Old Trafford, and recently made it clear that he feels he’s ready for a switch to a more high profile role than the one he has at Ajax.

De Telegraaf explain that the agency which represents the manager, SEG, are entering into a relationship with the agency run by Pere Guardiola, brother of the Manchester City boss.

It’s thought that can provide extra strength and contacts and help Ten Hag secure the Manchester United role, with the Dutch newspaper saying: ‘Bringing a coach to one of the largest clubs in the world requires a lot of lobbying and contacts behind the scenes.’

There’s no suggestion that this is the reason for the new partnership, although it’s clearly got De Telegraaf excited and they even believe it could see Manchester City’s manager consider the Netherlands national team role in the future.
