For those who thought Brighton & Hove Albion’s pursuit for Libertad wonderkid Julio Enciso was over, there could be a big turnaround coming up.

According to the latest news from Paraguay, the talks are still on for the Seagulls to take the 18-year-old to the Premier League.

It all seems to have started with his agent, Pedro Aldave, posting a picture at the Amex at the weekend.

So Versus Radio journalist André Rolón then came up claiming that the representative’s visit to the English city is because he’s ‘advancing in the negotiation to adjust the details and close’ Enciso’s transfer to Brighton this time.

Brighton’s pursuit for Enciso was widely reported back in January, with the Paraguayan media sounding sure the move would happen. Once it collapsed, it was first claimed the player blocked the transfer for tax issues he didn’t like, and then his agent said the Seagulls wanted to change their bid at the last time.

No price is mentioned this time, although the rumours regarding the move in the winter transfer window said the Premier League side were bidding around £8m.
