Manchester City scouts have been watching Lazio’s young forward Alessandro Rossi, according to claims from his agent. The 19-year-old hasn’t featured for the senior team yet, but has been in very impressive goalscoring form for the youth team.
Rossi’s agent Fabio Guardabasso has been speaking to Italian website Gianluca di Marzio, and was asked about his future.
Guardabasso revealed scouts from Manchester City were in the stands watching the player during his last match.
He said: “He’s grown up a lot, especially mentally. He understands his potential. He’s a leader. He’s always been captain, it’s not a coincidence.
“Today in the stands was a scout from Manchester City. Rossi (19 years old) is one of the best prospects in Europe, and in the summer many teams were watching him, but he stayed in Rome and doesn’t regret it.”
The Italian forward has 7 goals to his name in 3 games for the youth team this season, and has a contract until 2020.
