Hakim Ziyech scoring for Morocco at the World Cup, as they beat Belgium, has further encouraged transfer rumours around the Chelsea player.
Ahead of the last summer window there were multiple claims of an impending exit from Stamford Bridge, and despite those claims ongoing throughout the market, the player stayed where he was.
Since then the rumours have been mainly about a potential move to Serie A champions AC Milan. The idea would be that Ziyech moves in the winter market and is given the chance to rebuild his career.
The 29-year-old has less than 300 minutes for Chelsea so far this season, a figure which is across all competitions. Gazzetta dello Sport report he’s ‘ageing on the bench’ and would be keen on a move.
It’s explained that given Ziyech represents himself there would be no commission to pay to agents, and that the Morocco international is ‘ready to make a sacrifice’ when it comes to wages.
Gazzetta say Milan are looking at a January loan with a purchase option for the summer. It’s stated the total deal would cost ‘just over €15m’, which seems an optimistic slant on behalf of the Rossoneri.
Ziyech has a contract running until June 2025, and it’s likely Chelsea would be looking for a better deal.
