According to a claim in the Turkish media, Torino have joined the race to sign Trabzonspor midfielder Batista Mendy.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to Crystal Palace at a couple of points this summer following reports they were in talks to sign the player.
Sporx have reported on the latest developments regarding the future of Mendy, and they say Torino have come in with an offer worth €10m for Mendy. However, the Serie A side should expect to face competition from Crystal Palace and an unnamed Italian club.
The Turkish media outlet report the Eagles have been knocking on the door for the defensive midfielder, but Trabzonspor are keen to keep hold of him.
In May we covered reports from the Turkish press that Crystal Palace had held transfer talks with Mendy’s agent over a possible move to the Premier League this summer.
Mendy made 31 Super Lig appearances in his debut season in Turkey. He’s contracted to the Trabzon club until June 2027, with the option to extend this for another season.
Mendy has represented France at all youth levels.
