German newspaper Bild has picked up claims from England that West Ham are keen on Andre Schurrle. The former Chelsea star has been repeatedly linked with a return to the Premier League, and Bild seem to be taking the prospect very seriously indeed.
It’s pointed out the player’s agent Ingo Haspel recently made it clear Schurrle could consider a Borussia Dortmund exit in order to get more prominence elsewhere.
Haspel had explained that it would only be natural for Schurrle to consider his options if he’s not likely to get an awful lot of playing time where he is.
Bild say a move to West Ham could increase Schurrle’s small chances of going to the World Cup and give the player hope ahead of next summer.
As for Borussia Dortmund, the German newspaper don’t think the club will stand in Schurrle’s way should an ‘acceptable’ offer arrive from West Ham for a January transfer.
It sounds like David Moyes has a reasonable chance of signing Andre Schurrle if the reports of West Ham interest are correct.
