AC Milan have joined the race to sign Lazio attacker Keita Balde Diao, according to the latest claims in the Italian media. The young Spaniard has been linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion following reports the Premier League side tabled a bid for the player.

Calciomercato have revealed AC Milan are monitoring the situation with Keita at Lazio. The youngster has recently clashed the club’s leaders over an injury he picked up, and his stay at Lazio seems to becoming to end.

There is now a possibility AC Milan could offer Japanese forward Keisuke Honda in order to land Keita before tonight’s transfer deadline.

WBA have tabled an offer of €18m to sign Keita before the deadline tonight. The Premier League side are looking to take advantage of the player’s situation at Lazio, and the next few hours will be crucial for the future of the young attacker.

However, Lazio are looking for offers in the region of €30m, and WBA will need to come back with an improved offer after their initial bid was turned down.
