Manchester United strengthened their strike force by signing Wout Weghorst on a dry loan deal from Burnley in January.
The striker has managed one goal from seven matches and is likely to return to his parent club after this season.
Recent reports in the English press have said Manchester United have identified Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen as their main striker targets for the summer.
Earlier this week, Italian journalist Niccolò Ceccarini stated Erik ten Hag’s side have made movements to sign the Napoli star.
Aurelio De Laurentiis, the Serie A side’s chairman, however, was quick to dismiss the possibility of selling the 24-year-old in the next window.
CalcioNapoli24 state De Laurentiis said no one is for sale because the Naples club have no financial concerns. In other words, there is no need for them to sell one of their important players to balance their books.
For this reason, the Napoli chief ‘has raised the price’ for Ten Hag’s target and demands €150m to sanction the Nigeria international’s sale. There are many clubs keen to sign Osimhen, ‘above all, there is Manchester United’.
Osimhen has 17 goals and four assists from 21 matches in all competitions this season, which are numbers Manchester United would love from a new number nine.
