Mjällby AIF sports manager Hasse Larsson has admitted they will sit down to discuss Abdoulie Manneh’s future amid interest from Coventry City and Stoke City.

Fotboll Skanalen cover comments from him today about the 21-year-old. According to recent reports, clubs from the Premier League and Championship are keen on the winger.

The Ghanian was close to leaving Mjällby in August, but saw a transfer to Olympiacos collapse. He’s since continued his strong form, with seven goals and four assists in 27 games across this year. Interest from abroad has not cooled as a result.

A report from Expressen this week stated that Coventry City were actively negotiating with Mjällby about Manneh. Bournemouth were then linked elsewhere. Stoke City were also then thrown into the mix for the youngster.

Larsson hasn’t confirmed the interest from Coventry and Stoke at this moment in time. But he is willing to admit that there’s interest from England specifically.

“There are a couple, three clubs who are interested in him,” he said.

“So, we will see here now after the season when we have finished playing, then we will sit down and sort out and see which club. Partly with the economy and partly that it will be good for Manneh.”

No negotiations are currently underway with anybody, though. Instead, the Swedish side will be waiting until the end of the season for any potential transfer.

“No, we have said that we will wait until the season is over. So next week we will sit down,” he added when asked if negotiations are underway.

“Yes… You never know in football. As it feels now, it is so,” he concluded about a potential exit in January.
