Manchester United have made contact with Paris Saint-Germain over Ibrahim Mbaye, who is ‘a problem about to explode’ for the French giants.
AS report that the PSG gem is a player that ‘everyone wants’ and the issue is threatening to explode at any moment.

The 18-year-old is currently one of the most sought-after players in Europe. He’s on the list for many clubs.
The belief is that opportunities for him will be scarce next season, given PSG’s stacked roster of attacking talent already. Barcelona’s Ferran Torres is close to a move as well.
Faced with that situation, European clubs are moving. A growing list of them are enquiring about Ibrahim Mbaye’s situation. Manchester United are one of those to do so.
While a loan move is on the table, a permanent move is not out of the question either. PSG are asking for over €50m to sanction such a sale. They need to tread carefully.
Salzburg opportunity tonight
Mbaye’s contract only runs until 2028. A lack of playing time this summer could become a ticking time bomb in the short to medium term.
The youngster, for his part, is simply focused on game time during pre-season. He was on the scoresheet against Manchester United in the recent 1-1 draw. Perhaps that has only increased their interest in him.
Another big performance – or at least appearance – against Aston Villa in the Super Cup could help to drive up interest. AS state that the final in Salzburg is a ‘showcase’ for the 18-year-old.
There is an acceptance that his future in Paris hangs in the balance either way. PSG are in danger because of his contract situation. Now the wolves are circling and have been in touch about a deal. Manchester United are one of them. It remains to be seen if they want to pay €50m or more to sign him, however.
