According to a claim in the Swedish media, AIK have announced they will hold a press conference this afternoon to confirm the signing of Hull City midfielder Sebastian Larsson.
Larsson’s Hull City contract expires in the coming weeks, and it’s been well documented he would be heading back to Sweden.
Fotboll Direkt have this morning reported AIK have called a press conference for 4.00pm Swedish time to announce Larsson’s switch from Hull City to the Stockholm based club.
It’s reported Larsson will be become the highest paid player in the Swedish top flight and it’s expected he will commit himself to AIK for two and a half seasons.
Larsson has spent his entire career playing in England, but it now seems he will be playing in the Allsvenskan, just 12 months after signing for Hull City.
There were reports Hull City had offered him a contract extension, but it always seemed likely he would return to his home country this summer.
