Brazilian starlet Gabigol has been strongly linked with a move to Europe with the likes of Leicester City, Inter and Juventus interested in signing him.
Gabigol’s agent, Wagner Ribeiro, has also confirmed Leicester’s €27m offer for the player, which was more than Inter Milan’s €25m and Juventus’ €20m offer.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport on Sunday, Leicester, Juventus and Inter should wait until the end of the Olympics to know the intentions of the player.
The 19-year-old reportedly has a €50m release clause, but Santos only have 40% of Gabigol’s rights. The Brazilian club, however, have to accept all offers more than €18m.
There are also claims that Santos might want to keep the player until January, and arrange a deal similar to Gabriel Jesus.
This is all very much at the early stage and other clubs could also come in for the young Brazilian.
