Everton forward Cenk Tosun has told the Turkish media he wants to be a success in England and wants to be there for the long term.
Tosun signed for Everton in the last transfer window, and in the closing stages of last season started to show his potential to the Goodison Park faithful.
Speaking to Sabah, Tosun was asked about his new goals: “Half a year has passed in the Premier League. I did not go there for a temporary period. I went to make my mark on England, to show myself. I want to make a name for myself, hopefully.”
Tosun signed for Everton for a reported £23m plus add ons from Besiktas, which is a record for a player being signed from the Turkish Super Lig.
In his first several weeks with the Premier League club the Turkey international struggled to get games, but ended the campaign with five goals.
The player will have a new manager in Marco Silva when he returns for preseason training with Everton and with Wayne Rooney edging towards a move to the MLS more emphasis is likely to be put on Tosun.
