The transfer saga of Carlos Bacca to West Ham seems to be coming to an end after the London club confirmed the signings of Andre Ayew and Jonathan Calleri.
The Hammers had placed a €30m/£25m bid for Bacca, and even offered the player €5m/season. Milan had agreed to the deal and were happy to sell, so they could then fund their own purchases.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport in their Sunday edition, Carlos Bacca has decided to stay at AC Milan this season as the player wanted to leave the Serie A side only for a Champions League club.
Gazzetta dello Sport say West Ham got ‘sick of waiting’ for Bacca, and decided to sign other alternatives.
The Hammers were keen on signing a prolific goal scorer this summer, and went after a few big names but couldn’t manage to complete a deal.
However, it remains to be seem if the rumours of Bacca to West Ham are really dead, as we won’t be surprised if the Italian media gives them final round of resuscitation.
