The Hamburger Morgenpost have a feature in their Sunday edition on the probable outgoings at HSV this summer. The German club were relegated for the first time in their history and already had money problems, so now there’s a lot of fat to cut off the wage bill.

Pierre-Michel Lasogga is of course the major part of that. HSV didn’t feel they could justify the striker’s wages in the Bundesliga so it’d be even worse in the league below.

Sent on loan to Leeds United for the season, Lasogga now looks like he’s played his last game at Elland Road. Unless something unexpected happens, then his loan move won’t be made permanent.

But once again there’s confidence of English interest. The German newspaper say Lasogga will be ‘sold on the English market’ yet there’s still no mention of which clubs are even interested in the player.

Hamburger Morgenpost explain there’s been no offers arrive at HSV yet, and that’s what the club are waiting for. There seems to be a confidence that some English club will, sooner or later, lower their eyes from other targets and see the best of Lasogga at Leeds United and get a deal done.

They’ve probably right.
