Alvaro Morata is getting the full European transfer rumour mill treatment.
There’s of course claims in Italy of a possible return to Juventus, and those have been covered in Spain today, and now Don Balon have got in on the act.
Not just Don Balon, the Spanish website are leaning on information from Spanish show El Chiringuito. If there was ever a transfer rumour axis of evil made, then both would be on it and their inclusion would be well deserved.
Anyway, it seems someone wants to stick the knife in Chelsea’s striker and twist it. Morata had been very keen to leave Real Madrid last summer, for either Manchester United or Chelsea, despite the Spanish side preferring him to stay.
For this he’s been dubbed a ‘traitor’.
It’s claimed Chelsea want to sell (going against nearly all the other claims) and that Morata has been offered back to Real Madrid.
Morata is said to be sorry he made the move in the first place, but Don Balon state: ‘Florentino Perez will not open the door to traitors. The president of Real Madrid pardons (he does know he’s not a real president, right?), but does not forget.’
Hopefully someone feels better having got that off their chest.
