On the very same day RMC Sport in France report that Anthony Martial has all but asked to leave Manchester United at the end of the season, claiming Juventus are one of the clubs after him, Tuttosport have a whole page dedicated to the Serie A club’s pursuit of the France international.
According to the Italian newspaper, whose report came before the RMC claims, Max Allegri’s side would be prepared to offer him a ‘more than radiant’ outlook, especially as his €5m/year wages at Old Trafford (bonuses excluded) aren’t a problem for Allegri’s side should they decide to make a move for the former Monaco starlet.
Juventus’ interest in the 22-year-old isn’t anything new, as they already wanted him when he was with the principality club, prior to his move to Manchester United.
Tuttosport do, however, state there’s a chance Martial could stay with the Red Devils beyond this season, which certainly isn’t to be excluded, but were he to leave, he’d want a club that wins trophies.
Juventus do just that, and that’s why they’re described as a ‘serious reality’ for the Manchester United winger.
With just one year left on his current deal (two if the extra year in his contract is triggered), there’s only so much money the Red Devils could realistically ask from clubs, but unless something changes, they run the risk of losing him on a free before his 25th birthday if they try and block all offers for his services.
This is certainly gearing up to be one of the stories of the summer.
