According to Takvim, Fenerbahce president Aziz Yildirim will look to sign Manchester City’s Yaya Toure if he’s reelected as the club’s president in June.
Takvim say Fenerbahce are in search of a new midfielder and they’ve been offered a chance to sign the player by Toure’s agent Dimitri Seluk.
The 34 year old’s contract with Manchester City will expire at the end of the season and it seems that’ll be that.
It means Fenerbahce can sign Toure on a free transfer this summer, but they will need to pay a hefty signing on fee and offer him a lucrative salary.
Despite his lack of playing time with Manchester City this season, Takvim report Fenerbahce officials believe Toure can be a good player in the Turkish Super Lig and that his experience could help the Yellow Canaries.
Fenerbahce will now meet with Seluk ahead of the next transfer window to discuss the financial side of the deal.
