One of the big questions after Leicester City won the Premier League against all odds was who would they sign to bolster their team to try and retain their title?
Claudio Ranieri made it clear a couple of times that he wouldn’t be going out trying to sign superstars left, right and centre, and instead would try and secure the signing of players who he believed would fit with his ‘philosophy’.
One of those appears to be Swansea City’s Gylfi Sigurdsson who, according to TuttoMercatoWeb, is ‘on the list of many important clubs’, including Leicester.
To be honest, we’re not quite sure where the Iceland international would fit in Ranieri’s plans considering the type of players he had in his side last season.
He’s not an N’Golo Kanté replacement and isn’t defensive minded enough to be an alternative to Danny Drinkwater.
Who knows? Perhaps “The Tinkerman” has something special up his sleeve for next season.
