Zinedine Zidane can’t forget Eden Hazard. This is what a headline from OK Diário says on Monday, as the Real Madrid manager dreams of signing the Belgian winger this summer.

OK Diário tells the whole love story between Zidane and Hazard, as the manager has been discussing the possible signing since the time when the Belgian was impressing at Lille.

Zidane reportedly told José Mourinho about Hazard during the summer of 2011, but the Portuguese coach thought he had too many options for the attack and ended up not approaching the winger, who signed for Chelsea one year later.

Zizou has been wanting Hazard since then, but the biggest difficulty is that the Real Madrid board are not convinced they should spend so much money on the player. Chelsea reportedly want £80m, which would not be a possibility for the Spanish club.

“Hazard has much talent, but since he went to Chelsea, he never reached 15 goals in the Premier League,” one of the board members would’ve said, according to OK Diário.

The website has already revealed a few months ago that Hazard would like to leave Chelsea, but the transfer would never happen if Real Madrid don’t make a move.

OK Diário don’t have a great record with big transfer news, but they seem to have kept their feet on the ground with this one.
