The closer we get to the start of the Premier League, the less likely we are to see a Joe Hart exit from Manchester City, despite what the European media have been trying to push.
However, that’s not how Gazzetta dello Sport see it, as they report Pep Guardiola is still ‘not enthused’ at the prospect of having Hart in goal, and bringing Samir Handanovic from Inter Milan could be a quick solution to his problem.
According to the Italian newspaper, the 32-year-old goalkeeper seemed a likely exit from Roberto Mancini’s squad at the beginning of the summer, but, as is the case with most Handanovic rumours, nothing happened.
The former Udinese keeper has been a recurring story every summer for the likes of Manchester United (when Real Madrid wanted De Gea) and other big Premier League clubs, and he never moves.
Could this be the summer? We doubt it, but if Inter Milan do manage to bring in Mattia Perin, who is apparently a target for them, we might finally have something to talk about.
