Leon Bailey has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, dating back to his time with Club Brugge.
The 20 year old moved to Bayer Leverkusen in the January 2016 transfer window, and things didn’t get off to a great start.
A few issues off the pitch saw Bailey in the news for the wrong reasons but things quickly changed and this season the player has been attracting widespread attention.
Chelsea are the club who have been most linked, but towards the end of the January transfer window Kicker said Arsenal were already eyeing the Leverkusen player for a possible summer transfer.
This week’s edition of SportBild brings Chelsea back into it, with no mention of Arsenal. It’s stated Chelsea were ‘willing to pay’ €30m for Bailey during the winter window, but that wasn’t going to be enough for Leverkusen.
For a summer move, SportBild believe Bayer Leverkusen would be looking for something as high as €50m.
Bailey can play on either the right or left and has 10 goals and five assists already this season.
The youngster recently said it’s his “dream” to play in the Premier League, and Chelsea wanted to make it come true last month, now eyes turn to the summer.
