Kicker believe Reece Oxford playing for West Ham this week is good news for Borussia Monchengladbach.

Now Oxford has represented West Ham this season, he can only move to one other club this month… and that’s Gladbach.

FIFA transfer regulations state a footballer can only represent two clubs in any one season, so Oxford can only play for either of the two he’s already represented. If a third club were to sign the player they wouldn’t be able to field him for the rest of the campaign.

Kicker say this means Gladbach’s chances of getting Oxford back during the January window have even ‘increased’.

The development ‘fuels the hope’ of those in charge at Gladbach, and the club have made no secret of their desire to do a deal with West Ham. The German club’s sporting director Max Eberl recently made public his desire to get Oxford back, and Kicker say the player himself wants to return.

Oxford is said to have ‘clearly expressed’ his transfer wish to West Ham, but a €15m asking price is standing in the way, with another loan possible.
