According to a claim in the Italian media, former Queens Park Rangers defender Steven Caulker could be set for a move to Serie A.
Caulker recently exited QPR by mutual consent at the end of last month.
TMW have reported Caulker could be heading to Italy as a free agent, and that there’s already been contact made by Genoa. The central defender’s former QPR teammate Adel Taarabt currently plays for the Italian side on loan, and there’s a possibility of a reunion with the Morroco international.
It’s also been reported Chievo Verona, Sassuolo and Crotone are taking an interest in the former England international, and contact could be made.
Caulker spent three seasons at Loftus Road, but during his time time with QPR he had loan spells with Southampton and Liverpool.
Under Ian Holloway the player made just two league appearances for QPR this season, and the 26 year old came to an agreement with the Championship club to terminate his contract.
