Georges-Kévin N’Koudou could move to Burnley in ‘the coming hours’, report L’Equipe, but he won’t be going permanently and the club won’t have a buying option with Tottenham Hotspur.

The French newspaper report Daniel Levy specifically has blocked Burnley from having an option to buy the player in the summer, rating him too highly to consider a possible permanent switch.

Any decision on that has surely been between Levy and Mauricio Pochettino, but L’Equipe present it as coming fully from the former.

It’s expected that N’Koudou will join Burnley for the rest of the season, and snub other interest coming from France. The Tottenham player is convinced he can make it in the Premier League, report, L’Equipe, even if that means he has to leave Spurs for now.

A telephone call from Sean Dyche is what helped tipped the balance in Burnley’s favour, according to the French claims, with N’Koudou now convinced he’s fully wanted.

N’Koudou has half a season to get back to his best, and convince Tottenham he has a meaningful future with the club.
