Coutinho’s performance for Liverpool on Wednesday night has of course had a reaction in the Catalan media, or a whole bunch of reactions in the Catalan media.
Mundo Deportivo seem the most excited, with Coutinho once again gracing the Catalan newspaper’s front page, as they highlight what is supposed to be the likelihood of a January transfer from Liverpool.
It’s stated Barcelona have two factors helping them ahead of a January move for Coutinho. One is that there’s a ‘financial agreement’ with the player and his agent for a January transfer, the personal terms have been agreed long in advance.
That’s now been doubly backed up, with Coutinho’s entourage said to be completely committed to the deal despite interest from elsewhere.
The other factor Mundo Deportivo believe Barcelona have on their side is that Coutinho is said to have a pact with Liverpool over a transfer. The Brazilian has, according to the claims, agreed with Liverpool that he can leave for €145m in the January transfer window.
Most of this has been claimed by the same newspaper previously, and is simply presented with fresh excitement on Thursday. Mundo Deportivo have gone really big with their claims, but there’s nothing especially new on Coutinho’s potential switch from Liverpool.
