It’s been a strange season so far for Watford striker Stefano Okaka.
Starting the first game of the season under Marco Silva against Liverpool in an exciting 3-3 draw, the Italy international even scored, and that’s pretty much all he’s done.
On the bench for the next game and then in the stands up until last week, the 28-year-old was handed a whole minute by Marco Silva in the 3-2 loss to Everton.
With the Hornets apparently still keen on Leicester’s Islam Slimani, a striker exit is probable in January, and France Football claim a few Ligue 1 clubs are interested in Okaka.
While the names of said sides are yet to filter, they would only be able to bring the Watford forward in on loan, suggesting they probably won’t be clubs in the top five.
We’ll have to wait and see if this develops any further in the coming weeks, hopefully with the release of the names of some of the clubs interested.
Either way, there’s every chance Okaka will be interested, as any football is probably better than sitting in the Vicarage Road stands.
